A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a new detached dwelling on land to the rear of 25-27 Ermine Street, Ancaster. A sequence of modern made ground layers overlying undated buried soil deposits was recorded across the site, but no archaeological features or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
