Description

Three trial trenches were excavated to inform the proposed construction of a new foodstore on land to the north of the Nettleham and Searby Roads junction, Lincoln. The remains of one of the previously recorded pier bases for the Lincoln Roman aquaduct was identified, although the site appears to have suffered considerable disturbance. {1} The evaluation was recommended by a previously undertaken desk based assessment. {2}
