Description

Three trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land to the south of Hall Lane, Burgh le Marsh. The trenches were positioned to investigate geophysical anomalies detected during a previous magnetometry survey, and confirmed the presence of a ditch and a single pit, although no associated finds were recovered and the features remain undated. A small quantity of redeposited medieval pottery sherds were recovered from topsoil deposits. {1}{2}
