Description
Three trial trenches were excavated to inform the proposed construction of a new fishing pond on land to the west of Middlegate Lane, Orby. A simple deposit sequence of topsoil overlying an undated buried ploughsoil and natural clays was revealed, but no archaeological activity or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
