A topsoil magnetic susceptibility survey was carried out on 3 hectares of land at Torksey Lock south of Torksey. This was followed by a magnetometer survey of two locations within this general area where a number of anomalies were found. Some of the anomalies recorded were very weak suggesting that any archaeological features are buried beneath a considerable sand overburden. {1}
