Description

Three trial trenches were excavated as a part of a programme of archaeological investigation, undertaken in advance of the re-wetting of land at Willow Tree Farm, Deeping St Nicholas. A number of Roman ditched enclosures were recorded, with a small assemblage of 1st to 3rd century pottery and a cattle skull being recovered. {1}{2}
