Description

An archaeological excavation was undertaken in advance of the re-development of pasture land to form a new cemetery on land off Long Leys Road, Lincoln. Evidence for Roman settlement and farming activity were recorded, including a number of drains and field boundaries, stone structures and corn driers. Medieval ridge and furrow was also recorded. {1}{2}
