Description

A watching brief was undertaken at Castle Moat House, Drury Lane, Lincoln by Field Archaeology Specialists intermittently between January to August 2011 during construction work of the boundary wall and two gates. The fieldwork revealed evidence of the revetment wall which dates from the late 18th to mid 19th century and a stone cill, evidence of an earlier gate. {1}{2}
