Two trial trenches were excavated at Mablethorpe Care Home, Alford Road, Mablethorpe by Allen Archaeological Associates in July 2012. Within Trench 1, demolition material suggested that a former medieval building had existed on the site. In Trench 2, a refuse pit and a medieval boundary ditch were recorded. {1}{2}
