Description

A one metre by one metre test pit was excavated at 4 Sand Lane, Torksey by the University of Sheffield on the 4th July 2011. A large amount of Anglo-Saxon to post medieval pottery and a copper alloy belt fitting was revealed. Painted possibly medieval glass and medieval tile, suggesting a high status building existed nearby was also found. {1}{2}
