Description
Trial trenching was undertaken by Allen Archaeological Associates n March 2011 in advance of residential development at The Lodge, 210 Newark Road. A 13th to 14th century stone spread which may be associated with the crossing of the River Witham to the west and a 17th ecntury dumping waste was found. {1}{2}
