Description

Six trial trenches were excavated during evaluation of land at Lincoln Road, Horncastle by Trent and Peak Archaeology in March 2010. Trench 4 revealed undated linear features, an undated pit and two pits which contained possible evidence of Roman salt-making activity. Trench 6 revealed an undated linear feature and one sherd of 13th to 14th century pottery. {1}{2}
