An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a kissing gate on land at Stainfield in March 2010 by Archaeological Project Services. A demolition deposit probably associated with the former priory buildings was revealed. This included late medieval brick and tile, stone quarried from Barnack and an oyster shell. {1}{2}
