Description

A scheme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken during the excavation of test pits and ponds for the creation of a new wildlife habitat site alongside the River Bain at Tattershall. A gravel deposit was revealed, likely representing the infill of a former channel of the Bain. Environmental samples taken of the deposit produced faunal and plant remains, though no archaeological activity was identified. {1}{2}
