Description
Four trial trenches were excavated in advance of proposed construction of new rugby facilities. Initially, six trenches were planned but part of the site was covered with a crop. A single undated pit was encountered in trench 3 and a number of 20th century land drains were seen. Only a shallow ploughsoil was present overlying the natural geology. {1}{2}
