Description
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for extensions to Lark Rise Cottage, at Queen's Bank, Whaplode Drove. Three probable pits of an unknown date were the only archaeological features encountered, and no finds were recovered. No sign of an expected medieval bank and ditch boundary feature associated with a holding of Crowland Abbey was seen; it is likely that this feature had been truncated by later activity. {1}{2}
