Description

A single evaluation trench was excavated prior to proposed road re-surfacing works. A sequence of medieval, post-medieval and recent deposits were encountered including remains of medieval road surfaces. Roman and medieval pottery and tile was recovered. No Roman deposits were encountered however, and it is likely that these, if present, are at a lower depth than was investigated during this project. {1}{2}
