Description
Three trial trenches were excavated to inform the proposed construction of new housing on land to the rear of Anchor Inn, Church Street, Alford. Three ditches and two pits were revealed; whilst being undated, these features were overlain by a layer containing 16th to 19th century material. {1}{2}
