Description
SEARBY CUM OWMBY BACK LANE (South side) Roadside shelter TA 00 NE 4/136 G.V. Grade II Roadside shelter, 1866. Red brick with ashlar plaque, pantiled gabled roof. Single storey 2 bay front. Two 4 centred brick arches supported by central round brick pillar; arches have dentillated decoration to tops and moulded brick imposts. In the space between the arch heads is a weathered stone tablet on which only the date 1866 is now decipherable. To rear, a timber verged roof projects into the garden, and the end walls of the structure have brick pilasters and a stepped gable course. Included for group value only. Listing NGR: TA0724405834
