Description
BRIDGE ROAD 1. 5315 (West Side) Former Toll Lodges to Gainsborough Bridge to north and south sides of the east end of the bridge SK 8189 2/52 II GV 2. Late C18 or early C19. 2 toll lodges flank the east end of the bridge. Square, rendered buildings of 1 storey with hipped slate roofs with centre stone stacks. 1 window to each face, except to road elevation which has flanking lights with hung sashes with glazing bars to recess with dentil cornice and panelled door. 1 of these flanking lights to 1 lodge has been replaced by hatch. Gainsborough Bridge,Bridge Road, former Toll Lodges to Gainsborough Bridge to north and south sides of the east end of the bridge, Bridge Road, and No 2, Lea Road form a group.
