SK 99 SE HEMSWELL SPITAL-IN-THE- STREET ROAD (West side) 3/50 Spital Almshouse 16.12.64 (Formally listed as Cottage dated 1620 S.W. of Church of G.V. St.Edmund) II Almshouse, now house. 1620, C19. Coursed limestone rubble, pantile roof with single central stone ridge stack. 2 storey, 2 bay front with doorway to left with plain lintel and plank door. 2 sliding sashes to right with plaque set between inscribed "Deo et Divitibus Ao Dni 1620". 2 sliding sashes above. Late, lower, single storey C19 extension to left with 2 sliding sashes. Listing NGR: SK9662790025
