Description

The following buildings shall be added: SK 98 SW AISTHORPE FARM LANE (East side) 422-/1/10000 Manor Cottages Nos 1,2 and 3 II Farmhouse, now 3 cottages. Late C16, enlarged late C17, altered and converted c1860, with C20 additions. Coursed limestone rubble, with minor brick additions and pantile roofs. 2 brick ridge stacks. L-plan, the east range has a 2-bay lobby entry plan and the later west cross wing has the same plan form. 2 storey. East wing, eastern gable has a single doorway to left with a rendered lintel, and above a single C20 casement. South front has a 2-light C20 casement and to the left a 2-light glazing bar, sliding sash in a former doorway with timber lintel, above to the left a small 2-light C20 casement. North front has an off-centre brick lean-to with to the left a C20 casement and to the right a 2-light glazing bar, sliding sash in a former doorway, with beyond another locked doorway. Above a C20 casement and a 2-light glazing bar, sliding sash to the right. West cross wing, west front has a large C19, 3-light glazing bar, cross casement with a timber lintel, and to the left a C20 casement. Above to the left a single 2-light glazing bar casement. North gable is largely obscured by single storey addition, with a C20 casement on the first floor and a blocked window in the gable. South gable has a single C20 casement to each floor. East front has 2 storey C19 lean-to addition with a single C20 casement under a brick segment head. Interior. East wing retains a large inglenook fire place with chamfered bessemer and moulded brackets. Chamfered spine beams with stops. Exposed stud partition walls, and original wooden winder staircase beside the central stack. West cross wing has blocked inglenook fireplaces, spine beams and some original 2 panel doors.
