Description

BULLINGTON WRAGBY ROAD TF 07 NE (north side) 1/26 Bullington Hall Farmhouse 30.11.66 II Farmhouse. C17, mid C18, early C19, C20. Red brick with limestone ashlar dressings. Coursed limestone rubble to rear. Steeply pitched, hipped, plain tile roofs with 2 ridge stacks and 3 dormers with segmental heads and sliding sashes. L plan with rectangular bay in re-entrant angle and small porch. 2 storey and attic. 4 irregular bay C18 south front with plinth, ashlar first floor band and quoins. Doorway to left with rough ashlar doorcase, partially glazed door and C20 timber porch. Single C19 glazing bar sash to left-with 2 glazing bar sashes to right, 3 glazing bar sashes above, all with segmental heads. Fragmentary evidence of blocked, C18 fenestration. West end with plinth, ashlar band and quoins, with single glazing bar sash with another glazing bar sash above, both with segmental heads. Small C20 fixed window to left of upper window. Rubble walling to rear of and ashlar dressings possibly from Bullington Priory, now no longer standing. 8 flight return staircase with bannisters of first 3 flights, mid C18, with 2 simply moulded bannisters to each tread and very broad, deep moulded handrail. Newel with daisy head and looped decoration. Early C19 bannisters above altered in late C19. Mid C18 doorway with plain C18 door on landing at first floor level. Listing NGR: TF0925077938
