Description
SK 89 SW MORTON FRONT STREET 8/32 No.48 (Sundown) and Railings 16.12.64 G.V. II House and railings. Late C18 with early and late C19 minor alterations. Stucco, slate roof having raised stone coped gables and 2 yellow brick gable stacks. 3 storey 3 bay front with the 2 outer bays projecting through all 3 storeys. The central half glazed panelled door has a traceried overlight and fluted surround with dentillated pediment on brackets, and is flanked by single glazing bar segmental bow windows. The ground floor bows project slightly and have narrow leaded cornices. To the 1st floor is a central glazing bar sash flanked by single splayed glazing bar sash bay windows. The 2nd floor repeats this pattern with smaller windows. To the right is a single bay C19 2 storey addition with wide garage door and tripartite window over with beyond to right a semi circular headed planked door to rear passage. The railings consist of 2 tiers of plain square spikes with top and mid rails having turned knops to end and central pillars. Listing NGR: SK8070791522
