Description
SK 79 SE EAST STOCKWITH FRONT STREET 7/17 No.21 II House. Early C19. Stucco, ashlar sills, hipped slate roof with 2 ridge stacks. 3 bay 2 storey front having central 6 panelled door with plain fanlight and panelled reveals. 2 Tuscan columns support a hood with open pediment and panelled archivolt. To either side are single, tall glazing bar sashes. The 1st floor has 3 glazing bar sashes. The interior retains its shutters and a fine moulded fireplace with swags in the right hand room. The dog leg stair has square fluted balusters, circular newels, carved strings and wreathed hand rail. There is an elliptical arch to the stair hall and the ceiling over the stair has moulded plasterwork in the form of a circle with central star motif. Listing NGR: SK7896394583
