TF 1089-1189 GEORGE STREET 1/12 (east side) No 2. (The George Public House) II Late 18C and 19C brick painted public house 2 storey with pantile roof. Built in 3 sections. First late 18C section of 1 bay, lower window 24-light with segmental arch of brick voussoirs. 12-light window above, and cellar opening below. 19C 2 bay section. Door with 4 panels and rectangular fanlight, large ground floor window with stuccoed transom, and mullions and surround. 2 sashes above. End section has depressed stucco carriage arch, and another large transom and mullioned window, with 2 sashes and 2 blind windows above, all with segmental arches of brick voussoirs.
