Description
TA 10 NE KEELBY KING STREET (North side) 6/124 Village Hall G.V. II Village Hall, 1897. Yellow brick with red brick details and dressings, slate roof with decorative ridge tiles and terracotta finials; 3 yellow brick ridge stacks with moulded tops. Irregular L plan. Main front of 7 irregular bays, the left hand block is of 2 storeys with 3 bays in the gable end to road; 3 trefoil headed lancets to ground and first floor with in the gable a quatrefoil light. To right a 2 bay tower of 3 stages defined by moulded terracotta string courses, the lowest of which continues to the left. Ground floor has doorway with Gothic traceried pointed overlight. 2 trefoil headed lancets to first floor with circular clock panel above. Tower rises to embattled top with terracotta copings. To right of tower is one bay single storey link with trefoil headed lancet with beyond a further gabled range with 2 lancets and quatrefoil over. Eaves and gables all have decorated terracotta dentillations. All corners have angle pilasters. Window heads are of contrasting red brick with moulded brick hood moulds. Listing NGR: TA1647009986
