Description

TF 00 NE UFFINGTON MAIN STREET (south side) 9/247 Pedestrian garden gateway to demolished Uffington House G.V. II Gate and piers. c.1845. Ashlar, wrought iron and terracotta. Single wrought iron gate with twisted bottom verticals, lozenges in the rails. Above are scrolls to central stem and the down curving top has scroll finials and a central arabesque. To either side are square rusticated piers with fluted faces, moulded bases and cornices, surmounted by terracotta urns. Listing NGR: TF0605807510
