Description

SK 94 SW 5/18 BARKSTON MAIN ROAD (west side) The Corner Shop G.V. II House, latterly used as a shop; C17 with C18 and C19 additions and alterations. Coursed and banded limestone and ironstone rubble with ashlar quoins to first floor and brick dressings. Pantile roof with brick gable and off centre ridge stacks. Two storey four bay front with off centre six panelled C19 door flanked by C18 glazing bar sashes; all ground floor windows have timber lintels. Evidence of C17 doorway to right of existing. First floor, added in C19, is lit by three glazing bar sashes with brick segmental heads. Listing NGR: SK9303641541
