Description
SK 94 SW SYSTON PARK 5/121 West Lodge II House, former gate lodge; circa 1830 with C20 additions. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, pointed slate roof, with lead dressings. Octagonal with small service range to rear. Single storey with garret. Plinth, stone band above window heads, parapet with narrow moulded cornice. Door on south side of two half glazed leaves hinged at centre, covered by open porch supported on paired Tuscan columns with flat roof and moulded cornice; above is a recessed plain rectangular panel. On flanking sides are single glazing bar sash windows with plain stone lintels. Above the band are plain recessed roundels. Remaining sides are blank apart from the north west side where the roundel above the band contains an opening leaded light to garret. Interior has shutters and original fireplace.
