Description
DENTON THE DRIFT SK 83 SE (east side) 3/54 Hill Top Farm- house G.V. II Incorrectly shown as Denton Lodge on OS map. Farmhouse. Late C18 with C19 and C20 additions. Coursed limestone rubble with red brick quoins and dressings. Concrete tiled roof with single red brick gable stacks. 2 storey, 3 bay front with brick dogtooth eaves course. Central half glazed door with brick segmental head is covered by C19 open gabled stone porch with plinth, semi-circular headed outer opening and bargeboard, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. To first floor 3 glazing bar sashes. All windows have timber lintels. To the rear a C20 extension. Denton parish was enclosed in 1789. Listing NGR: SK8576530501
