Description
BARROWBY SK8836 MAIN STREET 1315-0/13/32 (East side) 18/09/79 White Swan Public House GV II Public house. Late C18, with extensive mid C20 alterations. Coursed squared stone with brick front and hipped asbestos tile roof with single gable and 2 ridge brick stacks. 2 storeys plus attics; 3 x 4 windows. L-plan. Front has cogged eaves. Central blocked window flanked by single 16-pane sashes, all with segmental rubbed brick heads, painted. Mid C20 ground floor with central door flanked by 5-light casements. Left return has regular fenestration with segment arched windows, 3 of them replaced by mid C20 windows with concrete lintels. 2 small attic windows. INTERIOR refitted mid and late C20.
