Description
TF 03 NW BRACEBY AND SAPPERTON MAIN STREET (north side) 3/2 Braceby Barn at Manor Farm G.U. II Barn; early C18 with C19 alterations and additions. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and brick dressings; pantile roof. On the main front a line of quoins mark the extent of the original five structural bays. To their left is a tall C19 double door under an arched opening with brick surround and head, followed by 2 vertical ventilation slots. The C19 addition to the right is the same height but of 2 storeys with a small door and 4 light window under a timber lintel. Above door is plain timber opening. The gable end to the road has 5 vertical slots and C17 reused moulded stones in the quoins. The roof is a C19 kingpost, but the steeper pitch of the original roof can be seen inside.
