Description
SK 94 SW SYSTON MAIN STREET 5/119 Churchyard Wall G.V. II Wall, early C19; coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. Wall crosses churchyard from north to south and is open at the centre to frame the vista of the church from the Park to the east. The wall is surmounted by a diminishing coursed stone coping with a saddleback top and is swept downwards on either side of the central opening. The opening is flanked by large square pillars surmounted by plain cornices with large stone balls above. Included for group value only Listing NGR: SK9300240947
