Description
WESTGATE 1. 1146 (East Side) Nos. 34 to 37 (consec) SK 9135 NW 8/143 II GV 2. 4 shops and houses. First half C19, 3-storey, brick, slate roofs, continuous bands at sill levels of upper windows, moulded wood cornice at eaves with small brackets at wide intervals; 8 windows in range with painted stone rusticated arches, flush frames and glazing bars; 6-panelled door to each house, with rectangular fanlight and arch as windows. Each house has one original shop window surrounded by moulded wood architrave with plain frieze and moulded cornice; windows originally divided into 3-arched lights. Nos. 31 to 4O (consec) form a group. Listing NGR: SK9121835596
