Description
ASLACKBY AND BOURNE ROAD TF 03 SE LAUGHTON (east side) 3/9 Laughton Manor House II Farmhouse, now farmhouse with flat. Mid C18, re-modelled mid C19. Coursed limestone rubble, limestone ashlar, some render. Hipped slate roof defined by red tiles and with ashlar modillioned eaves. 2 ridge stacks with single ridge stack to rear. L-plan. 2 and a half storeys, 3 bay front with quoins, first and second floor bands and plinth with single 2 light mullion cellar windows flanking central doorway. Doorway with ashlar porch with flanking Doric columns and pilasters against wall, broad entablature and moulded cornice' doorway with traceried overlight and panelled door. Doorway flanked by single glazing bar sashes, with 3 glazing bar sashes above. 3 smaller glazing bar sashes above. 2 bay west side with lower range beyond to left. Doorway to left with semi-circular head and double partially glazed doors. Glazing bar sash to right, with 2 glazing bar sashes above, and 2 smaller glazing bar sashes above them. Mid C19 plain staircase, simple white marble fireplace and cast iron bedroom fireplaces. Pump, copper and bread oven still in working order in back kitchen. 2 large irregularly chamfered beams in main kitchen. Listing NGR: TF0807932121
