Description
SK 84 SW LONG BENNINGTON CHURCH STREET (north east) 4/53 Priory Farmhouse and outbuildings G.V. II House. Mid C18. Red brick with ashlar dressings, grey slate roof with gable stacks. 2 storey and attic. 3 bay front with first floor ashlar band, quoins and cornice. Central doorway with bracketed hood, rectangular overlight with 3 panes and 6 panelled wood door. Flanked by single windows with 3 set above, all with glazing bar sashes and stone splayed lintels with raised keystones. 2 C20 dormers with casements. Various C19 and C20 extensions to rear. Outbuilding contains C13 fragments of an arch and door jamb from priory originally on the site. Listing NGR: SK8435643958
