1. 1671 ST PAUL'S STREET (South Side) 22.5.54. Brazenose College Gate. - Retaining walls of College. TF 0307 1/306 I GV 2. Corner of Brazenose Lane, by site of St Paul's Gate, demolished in 1780, Part of old wall remains, containing finely moulded early Cl4 gateway of 9 orders, with small gabled parapet over and 2 defaced head stops. Shafted Jambs with stiff-leaf capitals. Wall has hand-made bricks to rear. Knocker is a replica of the original, which was presented in memory of the secession of l335-6, when this was the gateway to the College. AM. Brazenose College Gate and retaining walls, 2 barns to the east of No 28, Brazenose School House, and Nos 30 to 33 (consec) form a group. Listing NGR: TF0337907358
