Description
TF 1210-1310 MARKET DEEPING CHURCH STREET (west side) 12/148 Nos.102 and 104 30.10.68 (Formerly listed as No. 102) G.V. II Pair of houses and shop. Late C17, altered late C18 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble with flush ashlar bands, quoins and dressings. Collyweston slate roof with stone coped gables, pair of ashlar gable stacks with plinths and cornices. 2 storey with attics, irregular 5 bay front having off-centre 6 panel door in moulded wooden doorcase with dentillated pediment, having to left a glazing bar sash under timber lintel and to right a C20 glazing bar bow window, a pair of half glazed double doors and a glazing bar sash. To first floor 4 glazing bar sashes. All other openings have ashlar lintels with keystones. There is evidence in the walling of blocked earlier fenestration. In the roof are 2 gabled dormers with leaded casements and slate hung cheeks. Through butt purlin roof. Listing NGR: TF1380710015
