Description

BELTON & MANTHORPE SK9237 LOW ROAD, Manthorpe 1315-0/11/130 (South East side) 21/09/79 No.33 Old Clovers and attached boundary wall II Estate cottage, now a house, and attached boundary wall. Dated 1852, with late C20 additions and alterations. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and renewed pantile roof. Square, corbelled ashlar ridge stack, and 2 similar larger gable stacks. Tudor Revival style. Plinth, quoins, coped gables, and kneelers with ball finials. Single storey plus attics; 4 bays. Windows are reglazed. To right, a large gabled through-eaves dormer with 2 single-light windows under a square panel with the Brownlow monogram and datestone, and a common label mould. Below, a chamfered stone doorcase with panelled door. To right, a 3-light mullioned window with cornice. To left, a square stone bay window with lean-to roof and a 3-light stone mullioned window. Above it, a C20 raking dormer. To left again, a single light window with cornice. Outside, 2 sections of dwarf boundary wall with canted corners and slab coping.
