Description
HARLAXTON SK8832 CHURCH STREET 1315-0/14/153 (North side (off)) Two chest tombs 8 metres south of chancel at Church of St Mary and St Peter GV II 2 chest tombs. Early and mid C19. Ashlar. To north, large sarcophagus shaped square chest with plinth, rebated corners and deep cornice to shallow gabled top. Square slate tablets, mostly detached, to William Taylor, 1852, and members of his family. To south, a smaller chest with plinth and shallow gabled top, with reeded corners and octagonal slate tablets, with inscriptions to Robert Taylor, 1810, and Ann Taylor, 1825.
