HARLAXTON SK8832 HIGH STREET 01315-0/14/187 (West side) 24/09/79 Gateway and boundary wall to Conygree (No.26) (Formerly Listed as: HIGH STREET Gateway to east of Conygree) GV II Gateway and boundary wall. C17 gateway, resited c1865, and mid C19 wall. Off-centre gateway has red brick piers with panelled ashlar pilasters and scroll brackets, and segmental pediment with 3 ball finials. Round arched brick opening with imposts and keystone, and C20 wrought-iron gate. Coursed rubble boundary wall with slab coping, approx 50m long. The C17 material probably came from Harlaxton Manor House, demolished c1865 by John Sherwin Gregory.
