Description
HARLAXTON SK8832 CHURCH STREET 1315-0/14/156 (South East side) 24/09/79 Ivy Cottage GV II Estate cottage, now house. Dated 1802, with late C19 rear additions. Brick with hipped slate roof and central brick ridge stack. Wooden eaves. 2 storeys; 2 window range of segment headed 3-light Gothick casements with glazing bars. Below, 2 similar windows and a central canted hipped porch with a segment headed board door flanked to left by a round window. Right return has another 3-light Gothick window. This building is one of theose built or altered c1790-1820 by George de Ligne Gregory, and altered c1820-1840 by Gregory Gregory, successive Lords of the Manor of Harlaxton.
