Description
SK 93 NW GREAT GONERBY LONG STREET (south side) 8/39 Old Manor House 19.2.52 II House. C17, early C19, later C19, C20. Coursed ironstone rubble with lime- stone dressings, pantile roofs with stone coped gable to west with brick gable stack, early C19 brick gable to eat with gable stack. C17 rectangular block with lower, early C19 block to east with late C19 porch built onto its north front and C20 kitchen to rear. C17 block of 2 storeys and garret. North front of 2 bays with quoins. Doorway to the east with 4 centred stone arch under a rectangular head, plank door with ornate glazed opening towards top. To the west a 4 light stone mullion window with moulded cornice, above the door a 3 light mullion window and to the west, a 4 light mullion window, both with moulded cornices. All the windows restored in C19. West return has blocked doorway to the south with an early C20 mullion window with cornice inserted. A small rectangular garret light with wood lintel. South front has a 4 light stone mullion window with moulded cornice restored in C19. To east a C20 partially glazed door. Above, to the west, a blocked opening, to the east, 2 C19 three light mullion windows set side by side under C17 moulded cornice. Early C19 block to east with later C19 porch of coursed ironstone rubble with quoins. North front has single 3 light stone mullion window with 2 similar windows above. West side of porch contains doorway with 4-centred head and plank door, the north side has 2 light mullion window. South front has 2 light mullion window with a 4 light mullion window to the east, with a C20 3 light wooden casement above. Small C19 lean-to to east with 2 light mullion window and C20 kitchen. Interior has chamfered ceiling beams in room to the west. Listing NGR: SK9006538376
