Description

TF 1209-1309 MARKET DEEPING STAMFORD ROAD (south side) 13/177 No.5 30.10.68 G.V. II Incorrectly shown as No. 7 on OS map. House. Early C18, refronted 1823 and extended mid C19. Lined stucco over brick. Collyweston slate roof with stone coped gables and slate roof to right, 3 rendered gable stacks, with moulded cornices. L-plan. 2 storey, 3 bay front with plinth having central 6 panel door, traceried fanlight, wooden doorcase with open dentillated pediment, flanked by single tripartite windows with bowed centres. Glazing bar sashes with dentillated cornices under flat lead roof. To first floor 3 glazing bar sashes. To left of front is a cast lead downpipe with rainwater head initialled JT dated 1823. To the right a 2 storey, 2 bay mid C19 extension having rusticated quoins with re-used early C19 matching fanlight and doorcase, to right a single plain sash and to first floor 2 plain sashes. To rear a 2 storey, 3 bay red brick service wing with glazing bar sashes, fossilizing a late C17 cottage. Listing NGR: TF1382609939
