BARROWBY SK8736 CHURCH STREET 1315-0/12/15 (North side (off)) Seven headstones 10 metres south of Chancel at Church of All Saints GV II 7 headstones. First to third quarter C18. Limestone. To members of the Jenkinson / Jenkinton family. To left, 2 small flat topped stones, the first with mask and scrolls, the second with cherubs and a fielded panel below. Both inscriptions illegible. Larger third stone has a segmental head with 3 cherubs, and inscription in cartouche to Mark Jenkinson, 1770. Arch topped fourth stone has a cherub and below, a raised panel inscribed to Mark Jenkinton, undated. Segment headed fifth stone has an elaborate scrolled cartouche in high relief, inscribed to to Jane Jenkinson, 1713. Narrower segment headed sixth stone has shouldered scroll brackets, and crests and coat of arms, to Mark Jenkinton, 1746.
