Description
BITCHFIELD AND MAIN STREET SK 92 NE BASSINGTHORPE Bitchfield (east side) 2/8 Bitchfield House G.V. II House. Early C19. Ashlar. Hipped slate roof, 2 ashlar wall stacks. 3 x 3 block. 2 storey, 3 bay front with plinth, first floor band, coped parapet. Central half glazed door up 4 steps, with wooden surround, and Doric portico, flanked by single fine glazing bar sashes. To first floor 3 similar windows, the outer ones only have louvred shutters. All openings have splayed ashlar lintels with raised keystones. Listing NGR: SK9884728780
