Description
IRNHAM off SWINSTEAD ROAD (west side) TF 02 NW 3/191 The Kennels II House. c.1830, possibly by Joseph Ireland. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, concrete tiled roof with re-used stone coped gables, 2 moulded stone gable stacks and single ridge stack. 2 storey, 5 bay front having attached central 3 storey facetted tower entrance, cornice and embattled parapet. Central planked door with 4 pane overlight, flanked by pairs of 2 light casements. To first floor similar windows with a central single casement. To top storey of tower is a single fixed leaded light. All openings have chamfered ashlar surrounds with moulded hoods, the windows with chamfered mullions. Listing NGR: TF0209425755
