Description
SWAYFIELD CORBY ROAD SK 92 SE (north side) 5/200 No.7 (Rose Cottage) G.V. II Cottage. Early C17, with minor C19 alterations. Colourwashed limestone coursed rubble, ashlar quoins, steeply pitched pantile roof, single gable and axial ridge stone stacks. Originally baffle entry. 3 unit plan. Single storey plus attics, 3 bay front having half glazed off-centre door with to left a 2 light C19 casement window and to right a 2 light glazing bar casement. All with timber lintels. To first floor 3 two light casement dormers with rendered cheeks. Interior has chamfered beams with run out stops. One angled corner fireplace. 2 C17 wide planked doors and hinges.
