Description
HARLAXTON SK8832 CHURCH STREET 1315-0/14/149 (North side (off)) Five headstones 5 metres south of tower at Church of St Mary and St Peter GV II 5 headstones. Early, mid and late C18, and early C19. Slate. To left, a flat headed stone with 2 inscribed panels, by Stephen Staveley of Melton, to Mary Ann Rawson, 1711, Mary Day, 1738, Thomas Day, 1725, and Alice Day, 1747. To its right, a larger flat headed stone with a round arched panel, to John Simpson, 1765, and members of his family. Then a similar stone with 2 inscribed panels and scrolls, to George Felstead, 1775, and Ann Remington, 1776. Next a shouldered arch topped stone with skull and bones, to Joseph Rimmington, 1809. Finally, a smaller arch topped stone to Mary Pullen, 1791. Listing NGR: SK8825432623
